2019 White
Out Of Stock
Site and sound come to mind with the 2019 White. SITE: Two world class vineyards at the Eastern edge of the Santa Rita Hills appellation. One situated on steep slopes that face directly west and into the winds that flow from the Pacific Ocean. The other, family-owned and dominated by the morning fog and afternoon maritime influence, grown only 9 miles from the ocean. SOUND: A cool climate Chardonnay that simply sings; it bursts with citrus blossom, tropical notes, hazelnut, white peach and a saline-like minerality. Medium-bodied with a textural depth that floats through the mid-palate to an invigorating finish. We get a distinct Burgundian vibe here, but with a Cali swag, of course.
Ratings
91pts, Jeb Dunnuck | "Plenty of spiced orchard fruits, white flowers, and toasty nuances emerge from the 2019 White, a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, lively Chardonnay that hits the palate with notable purity and precision. It should keep for 2-4 years." - Jeb Dunnuck
90pts, Wine Enthusiast | "Generously aromatic on the nose, this bottling begins with floral wafts of gardenia, jasmine and lily as well as a bit of white-lemon flesh. The floral tones carry through on the sip, but also pick up lemongrass and coconut-cream flavors as well." -Matt Kettman
